Will you need a permit?
If your private property, which includes a driveway, has space for your skip, you will not need a permit for your skip hire. All you will have to ensure is that our drivers have full access to your private property and where you’d prefer your skip to be placed.
If you do not have private land for the skip to be placed, it is possible to put it on a public road outside your property. However, this will incur an additional cost as a permit will be required from your local London council. If this is the case, our team will arrange the permit for you. Please let us know if you require one when ordering your skip, and we will get this sorted for you.
The cost of the permit will automatically be added to your total order.
What waste can go in a Skip?
When you’ve ordered your skip with Fast Skips, it’s important to know what waste you can and can’t put into it. The only wastes that strictly cannot be disposed of in your skip are medical or human waste. Other types of waste you shouldn’t put into your skip unless you have told us about them in advance include mattresses and white goods.
We ask you to speak to us about these items beforehand as we will need to arrange the appropriate disposal methods for them. There will also be an additional cost, more information about this can be found on our FAQ page.
